Hailee Steinfeld Has Officially Left Her Comfort Zone

“I was so honored and excited and nervous and scared and all of the things,” she said. “It was such a surreal moment for me.”

Hailee Steinfeld was drawn to the character of Kate Bishop because she is a complex and relatable heroine. She is not a superpowered being, but a normal human who has trained hard to master her skills. She is also witty, confident, and adventurous, but also vulnerable, insecure, and flawed.

“She’s such a badass,” Hailee said. “She’s so smart and witty and quick. She has this confidence that can sometimes get the best of her. She also has this vulnerability that I think makes her so interesting.”

How Hailee Steinfeld Prepared for Hawkeye

Playing Kate Bishop was not an easy task for Hailee Steinfeld. She had to undergo intense physical training to learn archery, martial arts, and stunts. She also had to balance her schedule with her other projects, such as her Apple TV+ series Dickinson, where she plays the poet Emily Dickinson.

Hailee Steinfeld said that she enjoyed the challenge of learning new skills and pushing herself out of her comfort zone. She also praised her co-star Jeremy Renner, who plays Clint Barton/Hawkeye, for being supportive and helpful.

“He’s been so wonderful to work with,” she said. “He’s been so generous with his time and his knowledge and his experience in this world.”
